HEY THERE, I'M HYLAINE M.

Teaching is what I do! I truly believe I was put on this world to impact the lives of children through teaching. I am 100% an ambivert. I enjoy being social and connecting with people, but I also need those moments of solitude to myself. My friends, family, music, food, fashion, and faith in Christ are the things that keep me going every day.

I believe that building relationships and creating communities of care is the key to a successful classroom where students feel safe, heard, and able to learn.

I have been a teacher, a resident counselor, an early childhood educator, a babysitter, a nanny, a tutor, a camp counselor, and a number of other child care related roles for over 10 years, and I cannot wait to start teaching in my own classroom. I am passionate about teaching and believe that my classroom learning environment should be fun, engaging, promote growth, and a love for learning. My philosophy of education consists of creating a community of independent learners who are the center of their learning. I want them to obtain the skills necessary to become lifelong learners. Where their backgrounds, experiences, and communities are incorporated in my classroom. I strive to create a classroom filled with opportunities that allow my students to see themselves.

I share my passion with you all in hopes of not only inspiring others but to also be inspired. Teachers are some of the most amazing and innovative people and when we work together we have the power to change the world.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach. I hope that you are able to learn something, feel encouraged, and supported. I hope to provide some support and insight through my own personal experiences. I also look forward to collaborating with all you phenomenal educators.

I hope that when you enter this space you feel welcomed and that when you leave you feel inspired.
